Das ist Harey, mit falschen Wimpern und blondierten Haaren. Das ist Harey, wie sie Luftgitarre spielt. Das ist Harey, wie sie ihre Existenz in Frage stellt. Das ist Harey vorgestern. Das ist Harey gestern. Das ist Harey heute. Was wäre, wenn wir nur noch in den Erinnerungen anderer existieren würden, diese aber permanent wieder durchleben müssten? In Anlehnung an die Figur Harey aus Stanislaw Lems Roman „Solaris“ entwirft Pandora Pop ein low-tech cyberspace sci-fi Szenario, in dem drei Versionen der selben Harey ihr ewig sich wiederholendes Dasein fristen. Vom Kaffeetrinken bis zum vergeblichen Suizid ist alles nur fremde Erinnerung. Erinnerung oder Spiegel selbstinszenierter Internetpräsenz? War Harey 1961 in Lems Roman noch die Metapher für die Konfrontation mit dem Eigenen in der erwarteten Fremde, ist sie heute lebendig gewordenes Netzwerkprofil sozialer Webplattformen: Eine post-humane analoge Repräsentanz, irgendwo zwischen Avatar, Androide und Alien. Ist die Nutzung sozialer Webplatformen eine Erweiterung unseres Selbst oder reduzieren wir unseren Horizont? Birgt die Verschränkung von online und offline Erfahrungen eine Chance für mentale Weiterentwicklung und uneingeschränktes interkulturelles soziales Leben oder limitiert sie unsere Selbstwahrnehmung? Sie wurde vom Arts Council England, der Stadt Hildesheim und dem Goethe Institut Kroatien gefördert.

This is Harey with fake eyelashes and blond hair. This is Harey playing airguitar. This is Harey quesitioning her existence. This is Harey the day before yesterday. This is Harey yesterday. This is Harey today. What if we could only exist in the memories of others, and had to relive them over and over again? Pandora Pop developed a low-tech cyberspace sci-fi scenario following the character Harey from Stanislaw Lems novel Solaris. Three different versions of the same Harey are enduring an endless repetition of her dire existence. Everything are foreign memories, from drinking coffee to a futile suicide attempt. Memory or mirror of self-staged online-presence? In 1961 Harey was a metaphor for the confrontation with the self through the other. Today she is the materialized version of an social web-platform network profile: a post-human analogue representation, somewhere between avatar, android and alien. Does the use of social web-platforms extend our self or are we reducing our horizon? Is the fusion of online and offline experiences a chance for mental development and boundless intercultural social life or does it limit our self awareness?
